We continuously strive to minimize our air emissions, eliminate waste, and conserve energy.
Our sustainability within the community is largely based on our abilities to protect our natural resources and air quality.

The INEOS Phenol Mobile facility was built to meet the Alabama Department of Environmental Management's "New Source Performance Standards". The best available technology is used
to minimize air emissions.

In 2001, INEOS Phenol completed a project to eliminate our largest hazardous waste stream.
As part of our waste minimization plan, the 3.9 million dollar project was successful in creating
a new product that could be used by the carbon black industry.

Safety

The safety and health of our employees and the community is given prime consideration
in all company operations and activities. It is the policy of INEOS Phenol to promote safe work practices and maintain a safe working environment through effective accident
prevention programs.

INEOS Phenol maintains excellent injury and illness statistics as a demonstration
of our commitment to safety. The employees of INEOS Phenol have worked over 3 years
without a lost workday due to an occupational injury or illness. Our employees accept
the responsibility to work safely and to extend this concern for personal safety
to other employees.
